Two Rivers Martial Arts is a non-profit organization. All instructors are unpaid volunteers, which allows us to keep prices low. Our instructors are all black belts, some of which have over 20 years of experience. A student enrolled at any branch can attend as many classes as desired at any other branch with no additional charge. The expectation is that each student choose a primary branch and instructor who will guide the student's preparations for promotion tests.
There are several options for paying class fees. Two Rivers recommends setting up a recurring payment using an online bill-pay
service or another automated method. This helps instructors focus their time on teaching.
When paying by mail or electronically, please include an account number or student
names. See the
contact page for ways to reach the Hub business office to request your account
number, provide feedback, or ask any questions. Your instructor can also obtain your
account number from the Two Rivers treasurer. Options for payment:
Class fee payments are due at the beginning of each month. Some students prefer to pay on a 2-month cycle aligning with our scheduled promotion tests, which works as well.
Promotion tests are held every other month. No one is required to test, but testing is required to achieve higher rank and learn new techniques. Students must meet certain requirements in order to test. See instructor for details. The test fee for white through brown belt levels is $45 per student. Test fees apply to the first three members in a family. Additional family members do not pay test fees. Please talk to your instructor for information about fees related to testing for temporary black belt rank and above. Testing schedule and requirements for temporary black belt tests are discussed on the curriculum page.
